Camera angles
POV: Rocky looking at his opponent fighting him and throwing punches.
TWO shot: An example of a two shot in the film is when Rocky takes a break after practicing his boxing, there is a scene with him and his Coach standing next to each other talking.
 Camera movements
Tracking shot: The well known tracking shot is the scene where Rocky is training and goes for a run to the top of the stairs to view his city from the top.
High angle: there is a high angle in the film Rocky Balboa starts his fight with the of Apollo Creed.
Lighting
Low key lighting:  low key lighting is used when Rocky is at home with his wife and they are together.
Natural light is also used in this film because of the fact that it gives it that natural look who Rocky is running outside.
High key lighting is used in this film when the Heavy Weight Championship Boxing match begins between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed. This is seen because they are seen in the spotlight as they are the main event and are to be focused on.
Makeup
There is a very grand use of makeup in the movie as it is incorporated in many parts of it. This is mostly seen however in the scenes incorporating Rocky and him fighting Apollo. Now the reason for the use of makeup is that it is needed to sow how bad in a condition Rocky and Apollo are during there boxing match.

Setting
the setting is established at the beginning in Washington D.C and Philadelphia.
Actors
For most of the film the main actors are, Rocky Balboa who is the main protagonist of the whole story as the story is about him and his story on how he trains and his life as he fights for his way to make it to the top of the boxing world. other characters are his wife, and his Coach who play a big supportive role in his process to make it there.
Sound
Diegetic sound : One example of diegetic sound would be Rocky Balboa speaking to his Boxing Coach.
Non diegetic: An example of this is the sound when Rocky punches his opponents in the Boxing Rink while he is fighting against Apollo Creed.
Dialogue: An example of dialogue is the Sports commentator commentating on the boxing match.
Props
One prop that is significant is the use of the boxing gloves. The reason for this is the story is all about a boxer and his story on his way to make it to the top. Without the gloves it takes away the whole story and it wouldn't make sense.
A common sound used in the film is the sound of the people throwing punches and connecting on its target.
Common editing in the film the editing of the characters getting knocked out and the lights going bright creates a special effect.
Elements of the genre that I like: I like the story’s which involve drama. They are very intriguing and keep people interested. Sometimes dramas have lessons within the film.
Some elements of the genre that I don’t like is the film can be a little to suspenseful. In some ways this is good but for many people they may not like it and it could be considered scary.
Elements of the genre include the plot and the dialogue Wich is expressed very well in this film. The plot is intriguing and keeps the audience wondering what’s next. The dialogue expresses what is truly happening in the film.
